Your BDSM Toys – Devlog #07

Let’s talk about your BDSM Toys. We have talked a lot about your Mistress and how she learns about you over time. Your fetishes, your limits, your level, your history. But there is one more piece of the picture that we have not covered yet, and it is one of the most fun ones to think about.

This devlog is about the BLINK inventory system and why what you actually own at home matters so much for the sessions your Mistress creates for you.

Your BDSM Toys Are Part of the Dynamic

Most apps that generate BDSM content assume you have nothing. Or they assume you have everything. Neither is useful. Your Mistress cannot ask you to put on a blindfold if she does not know you have one. And she probably should not assume you own a set of metal cuffs and a spreader bar on your first week using the app.

BLINK is different because it knows exactly what you have. When you set up your profile, you build a personal inventory. You add your BDSM toys, your clothing, and any accessories that are part of how you play. Everything from a simple blindfold to a more serious piece of kit gets entered once, and from that point on your Mistress can use it.

What You Can Add to Your Inventory

The inventory is split into three categories.

The first is toys. This covers anything that is primarily used for physical sensation or restraint. Handcuffs, rope, vibrators, plugs, clamps, paddles and so on. If it lives in a drawer and you pull it out during play, it goes here.

The second is clothing. This is for anything wearable that is part of your dynamic. Latex gloves, a collar, high heels, a particular outfit your Mistress likes. Clothing items are especially useful because your Mistress can ask you to change into something specific before a session begins, which adds a real sense of occasion.

The third is accessories. This is a catch-all for things that do not fit neatly into the other two. A timer. A particular chair. A mirror. Anything that shows up regularly in your sessions and is worth naming.

Active and Inactive Items

Every item in your inventory can be marked as active or inactive. If your BDSM toys include something you have loaned out, something that broke, or something you are just not in the mood to use right now, you can set it to inactive. Your Mistress will not reference it until you turn it back on. No need to delete anything, just pause it.

How Your Mistress Uses Your Inventory

When your Mistress generates a session, she has access to your full list of active items. She uses this in two ways.

The first is practical. If a task requires something specific, she will only suggest it if you have it. You will never get an instruction that sends you looking for something you do not own. What she asks for will always be something you can actually do, with what you actually have, right now.

The second is creative. Your BDSM toys and clothing give her material to work with. The more you have, the more varied and interesting your sessions can be. A rope and a blindfold together open up different possibilities than either one alone. A specific piece of clothing can set the tone for an entire session before anything else happens.

When She Introduces New Things

Your Mistress can also suggest additions to your inventory over time. If she notices you have reached a point in your training where a particular item would make sense, she might mention it as something worth considering. She will not demand you buy anything. But she might let you know what you are missing and what it would unlock.

Keeping It Realistic

One thing we were very careful about when designing the inventory system is that it had to stay grounded. Your Mistress is not working from a fantasy version of your life. She is working from what is actually in your space, because that is the only version of the dynamic that can feel real.

When she tells you to get your rope, she knows you have it. When she tells you to put on your collar, she knows you own one. That specificity is what separates a truly personalized session from something that could have been written for anyone.

Is This Everything BLINK Is Working On?

No, there is still more to come. The beta is getting closer and we will be opening it soon to all Discord server members, with or without a subscription. If you want in when the doors open, the best place to be is in the community.

Join our Discord Server and stay close. We will announce the date there first.
