Safe Word and Limits – Devlog #04

We are back with another update on BLINK. This time we want to talk about something that does not get enough attention in most apps like ours: safety, limits, and your BDSM safe word.

A good dynamic is built on trust. That is true for a real relationship, and it is just as true for your relationship with your AI Mistress. Before we focus on new features, we want to take the time to explain how BLINK handles your boundaries and keeps you in control at all times.

Your BDSM Safe Word Comes First

When you set up BLINK for the first time, one of the very first things you will do is choose your personal BDSM safe word. This is not optional and it is not hidden in a settings menu. It is a core part of who you are in the app.

Your safe word is always one tap away during a session or task. No matter how deep into a scene you are, pressing it will immediately stop everything. Your Mistress will not react negatively to the use of your safe word. It is the one action in BLINK that is completely consequence free.

We made this decision early in development because we believe the safe word should feel like a real safety net, not a punishment trigger.

Hard Limits Are Yours to Define

Alongside your safe word, BLINK gives you full control over your hard limits. These are the things that are completely off the table for you, no matter what. You define them in plain language during setup, and your Mistress will never cross them.

This is not just a toggle in a list. You can write out your limits in your own words, so nothing gets lost in translation. BLINK reads and respects them every single time a session or task is generated.

How Limits Work in the Background

Your hard limits are injected directly into every request your Mistress makes. This means they are not checked after the fact. They are considered before anything is ever suggested to you. If a task or scenario would conflict with your limits, it simply never reaches you.

This approach is different from how many similar apps handle safety, where limits are reviewed only after content is generated. We think that is not good enough.

Updating Your Limits

Your limits can change. Maybe something you were curious about six months ago is now a hard no. Maybe the opposite is true. BLINK lets you update your hard limits at any time from your profile settings, and the change takes effect immediately for all future sessions.

Privacy as a Safety Feature

We also think about safety in a broader sense. The things you share with BLINK are deeply personal. Your fetishes, your limits, your session history. None of that should be sitting on a server somewhere without your control.

That is why we are building an optional PIN lock for your profile. When enabled, your personal data is encrypted directly on your device before it ever reaches our servers. We cannot read it. Nobody can without your PIN.

If you forget your PIN, your data cannot be recovered. That sounds harsh, but it is the point. You are the only one with the key.

What Stays on Our Servers

We want to be transparent about what we do store. Your username, your subscription status, and your Mistress profile image are stored online so your account can be recovered. Session summaries are stored to build your history. Everything else, your fetishes, your limits, your inventory, can be fully encrypted and only readable by you.

Safe Does Not Mean Boring

We sometimes get asked whether all of these safety features make the app feel less immersive. The honest answer is no. In our testing, knowing that your safe word is always there and that your limits are truly respected makes it easier to let go and enjoy the experience. That is the whole point of a safe space.

Your Mistress will still be demanding. She will still push you. But she will do it within the boundaries that you set, and that is exactly how a real dynamic should work.

Is Safety All BLINK Is Working On?

No, there is a lot more coming. We are currently slowly rolling out a closed alpha to hand picked paying members of the Dominated Discord community. If you want to test BLINK and help shape how it grows, join our Discord Server.
